As Licensed Psychologist (PSY 13756), Ichiro provides holistic psychotherapy with integrative use of Life Energy Healing (Qigong), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Guided Imagery and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). His specialties include: brief psychotherapy, cross-cultural counseling, clinical hypnotherapy, substance-abuse and addiction treatment, anxiety/trauma-related psychotherapy, and psychosomatic and stress-related therapy.

Ichiro also teaches Jyoraku Life-Energy Healing in San Francisco and Berkeley, California. It is based on a synergetic integration of healing philosophies and techniques of the East (Qigong and Seitai) and the West (Clinical Psychology, Guided Imagery, Creative Visualization, and Psychoimmunology). It utilizes gentle healing movements, guided imagery/meditation, healing breath, and healing touch.
