External Qigong Practices

This course is to teach you External Qigong (techniques) which you can apply to help persons around you,
but not to train you becoming a Qigong Healer.
Let's become our own
Master of Qi.

External Qigong Practices (2)

Step 2 "Feeling Qi-sensations (2)"

1.Feeling the Qi-sensations of hands
@1)Put your hand above a partner's hand
  1. Put the palm of your right hand above your partner's left hand
  2. Feel Qi-sensations by moving your hand closer and away
ƒQi-sensations are experienced with different sensations (heat/warmth, tingling, repulsiveness, etc.)„
@2)Point your fingers at your partner's palm
  1. Point at your partner's palm with Kenshi ("Sword Fingers"; both index and middle fingers)
  2. Sense the Qi by moving closer and away or turning
ƒWhen you begin to feel Qi-sensations, you will be able to sense movements even with your eyes closed.„
2.Bodily Sensations of Qi
@1)Put a palm of your hands above different bodily locations
( A different sequence is okay)
  1. Outside and inside of the partner's arms
  2. From the partner's chest to abdomen
  3. From the partner's shoulder to buttocks
  4. Outside and inside of the partner's legs
  5. From the partner's head to face
@Notice slight differences in Qi-sensations among the different bodily locations

(Pointers)
  • When the Qi is full (Life-energy is excessive), the sensations of Qi feels expansive: When the Qi is depleted, it feels collapsed.
  • l When the Qi is depleted, it feels cool and tingling. When the Qi is stagnant, it feels warm and painful. Since these are general concepts of Qi-sensations, I suggest that you try out your sensations with as many people as you can and heighten your own Qi-sensations.
@2)Put a palm of your hands above the top of a head (Hyakue)
  1. Put the palm above the top of your partner's head
(The distance between the palm and head is the distance in which the partner can sense Qi)
  2. Put your palm above your partner's head with images of the lights emitting from your palm.Allow the lights to go through the partner's body all the way to the sole of his or her feet.
  3. The partner closes his eyes and reflects internally while paying attention to his internal sensations.
@3)Putting a hand between bodily parts
  1. Feel Q-sensations on the palm of your hand, which you have practices so far (Practice 1)
  2. If you can feel Qi-sensations, put your hand between bodily parts of your partner.
  3. Feel Qi-sensations as you move your both hands
3.Qi-sensations of Plants
  1. Come close to a plant
  2. With an unfocused gaze, put your hand about one to two inchs above the plant.
  3. Move your hand around the plant
  4. Feel the Qi from the plant.

This Month's Goals

  1. To heighten your Qi-sensations and learn to sense more subtle Qi.
  2. Sense different Qi-sensations with different persons and between the places of fullness and depletion.
  3. Let's begin to feel the Qi of floors, plants and trees.
